A close view of the waterline bow damage of the destroyer Ithuriel (1941) in dry dock, Portsmouth Dockyard, taken from the side wall of the dock looking at the starboard side. Only the centre section of the stem is in the picture. The damage was the result of the Ithuriel ramming and sinking the Italian submarine Cobalto (1941) off Bizerta on 12 Aug. 1942.
