A general view of the 10-ton travelling spider crane situated between No. 9 Dry Dock and A Lock, No. 3 Basin, Portsmouth Dockyard, looking north. The crane jib is overhanging No. 9 Dry Dock in which a Hunt Type 3 escort destroyer is docked down. Berthed in No. 3 Basin across the end on No. 9 Dry Dock is the submarine Oberon (1926), her N21 pendant number being plainly visible.
