A general view of the 10-ton travelling spider crane situated between No. 9 Dry Dock and A Lock, No. 3 Basin, Portsmouth Dockyard, looking west-north-west. The crane jib is overhanging No. 3 Basin. Berthed in No. 3 Basin across the end on No. 9 Dry Dock is the submarine Oberon (1926), her N21 pendant number being plainly visible. She is being serviced by the track mounted crane No. 182.
