A temporary scaffold and board staging erected on the east side of The Arena, near the head of No. 2 Dry Dock, in Portsmouth Dockyard, looking west-south-west. On the right is the Victory Museum and on the left is No. 11 Storehouse. The staging may be for the purposes of a large group photograph with the Victory as a backdrop. The Portsmouth Dockyard negative register number P24/43 is written near the top left corner of the negative.
