A dummy battery for trials relating to the light cruiser Orion (1932) in Portsmouth Dockyard, Hampshire, for Mr Baker
A tall, square box, said to be a dummy battery, on the ground near some bicycle sheds in Portsmouth Dockyard. One face of the box has a circular hole cut near the top and a square hole near the bottom. The word FINN is on a building in the background. The Portsmouth Dockyard negative register gives the description H.M.S. Orion dummy battery for trials for Mr Baker and the register number P27/43 is scratched into the emulsion near the bottom of the negative.
