A starboard beam view of the tripod foremast being lowered by a crane into position on the light cruiser Achilles (1932) which is in No. 14 Dry Dock in Portsmouth Dockyard. The photographer is on the roof of air raid shelter 255 and the funnel is the only part of the cruiser that can be seen. The Portsmouth Dockyard negative register number P118/43 has been written near the bottom left corner of the negative.
