A port bow view of the tank landing craft LCT 378 (1942) completing her conversion to an LCT(R) in No. 4 Dry Dock, Portsmouth Dockyard, taken from the top of the dock. The last of her ten batteries of rocket launchers is being lowered onto her foredeck. On Pitch House Jetty in the background is the pipeline carrier Holdfast (1921) with other vessels outboard of her. In the left background are two Bangor class minesweepers and two barrage balloons. The Portsmouth Dockyard negative register number P121/43 has been written in the bottom left corner of the negative.
