The Chichester Canal Lock at Salterns, Sussex.
The Chichester Canal Lock at Salterns, Birdham, completely drained. The photographer is looking along the lock towards the canal end and the photograph shows the gates fully closed. A large suction pipe is leading down into the lock to remove the mud. A number of yachts are lining the canal banks beyond the lock gates.
