The prefabricated keel and forefoot section of the light cruiser Hawke on the stacking ground outside No. 3 Smithery, just north of No. 5 Slip in Portsmouth Dockyard. A small steam vessel is on North Corner Jetty in the background. The Portsmouth Dockyard negative register number P151/43 has been written on the left side of the negative.
