Two G78 LILO units under construction on the floor of Admiralty Floating Dock 11 (1924) which is moored in Fountain Lake, Portsmouth Dockyard. A rubber airbag is being lowered over one of the hollow concrete tubes. The airbag is suspended on a series of wires and a gang of men are manhandling the bottom fixings over the centre of the tube. The other concrete tube can be seen on the left. The photographer is looking north-west across the dock from the east end of the south side wall. The Portsmouth Dockyard negative register number P154/43 has been written in the bottom left corner of the negative.
