Looking aft and to starboard in the tank deck of a Mark 5 tank landing craft in No. 2 Basin, Portsmouth Dockyard, taken from on board near the port side of the bow. An A27 Centaur/Cromwell tank number T185099 is on the lower part of a new steel construction on the tank deck. An LCT(R) is berthed alongside her. The Portsmouth Dockyard negative register number P35/44 has been written in the bottom left corner of the negative and the description given in this register is "fitting of heavy ramps for tanks". The ship may be LCT (5) 2313.
