Bow damage to the tanker Teakwood (1927) in Portsmouth Dockyard, Hampshire.
A very close detail, taken from aft of the beam, of part of the starboard bow of the tanker Teakwood (1927) alongside a jetty in Portsmouth Dockyard. Her stem bar is damaged and there is a hole in her shell plating. She is fitted with a paravane A frame. The damage was received when she was in collision with three landing craft in Cowes Roads 9 Mar. 1944. She arrived at Portsmouth 10 Mar. 1944 and sailed after repairs on 16 Mar. 1944. Priddy's Hard, Gosport, is in the background. The Portsmouth Dockyard negative register number P102/44 has been written near the bottom middle of the negative.
