Looking from starboard aft to port forward across the tank deck of the tank landing craft LCT 2285 (1942) in Portsmouth Dockyard, from a sister craft moored alongside, showing the newly installed tank ramps and platform. The work is almost complete. She is at moorings with a sister craft to starboard and the oil fuel lighter C 622 (1943) to port. On a separate mooring in the background are tugs, lighters and landing craft. In the distance are the training ships Foudroyant (1817) and Implacable (1800). The Portsmouth Dockyard negative register number P127/44 has been written in the bottom right corner of the negative.
