Floating Dock Jetty, Fountain Lake, Portsmouth Dockyard, Hampshire.
Looking down on Floating Dock Jetty from the top of the south wall of the floating dock AFD 11 (1924). The dock is moored in Fountain Lake, Portsmouth Dockyard. The store sheds and office buildings on the jetty include Mr N Rogers Interview Office. Men are sorting a large pile of scaffolding connectors and a motor lorry belonging to Peter Lind & Co Ltd (fleet number 457) is parked on the jetty. In the background alongside North Wall Coal Jetty is the collier Corminster (1928). The Portsmouth Dockyard negative register number P164/44 has been written in the bottom left corner of the negative.
