The port side amidships of damaged corvette Pink (1942) in No. 8 Dry Dock, Portsmouth Dockyard, looking to port from the dockside showing corrugations to the hull at about frame 69, in way of the boiler room. A splinter mattress is covering a split in the plating. Vertical format. The Pink was hit by a Gnat acoustic torpedo fired from the German submarine U 988 off Normandy on 27 Jun. 1944. She was written off as a constructive total loss.
