A damaged 15 inch gun barrel in the Gun Barrel Park, Portsmouth Dockyard, Hampshire
Looking down from the crane gantry in the Gun Barrel Park in the north-east corner of Portsmouth Dockyard, showing a 15 inch gun barrel which has a fractured jacket. The gun's outer cradle collar is on the right and the muzzle is off to the left. This gun was the right gun from the monitor Roberts (1941) which had fractured its jacket off the Normandy beaches on 6 Jun. 1944.
