A drifter and three motor fishing vessels at Royal Clarence Yard, Gosport, Hampshire
A bow view of a trot of vessels berthed alongside a jetty in the Royal Clarence Victualling Yard, Gosport. The inboard vessel is the drifter Ocean Spray (1912) with the pendant Z.112. There are three motor fishing vessels outboard of her and they are MFV 1538 (1944), with MFV 1504 (1944) in the centre and MFV 1002 (1944) outboard. In the foreground is a small dockyard launch having its foredeck scraped and the port bow of a drifter named Progress that was hired for harbour service in 1940 and returned in 1945.
