The damaged frigate Affleck (1943) in No. 12 Dry Dock, Portsmouth Dockyard, Hampshire
A view of the damaged stern of the frigate Affleck (1943) dried out in No. 12 Dry Dock in Portsmouth Dockyard. The photographer is standing on the side wall of the dock and is looking aft and to port at the starboard aft part of the ship. Everything forward of the aft 3 inch gun platform is out of the picture. The hull has bad weed growth on it. Berthed in No. 3 Basin is the Ranpura (1924) undergoing conversion to a heavy repair ship.
