A close starboard quarter view of the bow of the frigate Cawsand Bay (1945) taken from abaft the bow at the bottom of a dry dock in Portsmouth Dockyard. The ship has been in collision or grounded, the bottom 9 feet of the stem has been pushed back and the keel and bottom plating has been badly damaged for about 30 feet from the bow. No. 11 Dock caisson is in the dry dock ahead of her.
