Admiralty Floating Dock No. 11 (1924) in Fountain Lake, Portsmouth, Hampshire
Looking along the length of Admiralty Floating Dock No. 11 (1924) from the top of the port side wall at the east end of the dock. She is moored in Fountain Lake off North Wall, Portsmouth Dockyard. Keel blocks have been laid out for a short but beamy vessel. In the background on the left the battleship Ramillies (1916) can be seen laid up in Fareham Creek and the hulk of the Implacable (1805) is at moorings in Portchester Creek. A trot of laid up destroyers, including the Marne (1940) pendant G35, is also in Portchester Creek. Above the starboard wall of the dock the bridge, foremast and funnel of the cruiser Argonaut (1941) can be seen. Vertical format.
