Oil burning furnace, Portsmouth Dockyard, Hampshire
The interior of a brick-built oil burning furnace in Portsmouth Dockyard. The brick end wall has a high pitched gable and the roof is corrugated iron. There are two large circular, one small circular and one square openings in the wall. This gable is at the opposite end of the furnace to the gable shown in negative number N26502. The location of this furnace within the dockyard is unknown. Vertical format.
