A prefabricated steel tower structure on the quay in front of No. 1 Ship Shop on the east side of No. 2 Basin, looking north from near No. 8 Dry Dock. The Portsmouth Dockyard negative register refers to this structure as an anchor dragging gantry for Portland. On the left is the Cowans, Sheldon 15 ton track mounted crane number 5259 of 1932, dockyard number 161.
