The fleet oiler Wave Duke (1944) berthed at the oil fuel jetty at Clarence Yard, Gosport. A close view of the port side of the forecastle deck amidships, looking aft showing damage to the stanchions supporting the upper bridge deck. This was caused when she was in collision with the passenger/cargo liner Esperance Bay (1922) in fog 50 miles off Lands End on 29 Jul. 1948. Vertical format.
