A group of seamen and petty officers hooking a cargo net onto a crane hook in the hold of a lighter alongside the port side of the light cruiser Belfast (1938) in Portsmouth Dockyard. The cargo net is loaded with cases of Nestle's Ideal condensed milk. The Portsmouth Dockyard negative register lists this series of negatives as "HMS Belfast recruiting campaign".
