A building destroyed by fire in Portsmouth Dockyard, Hampshire.
The ruins of one end of a timber and corrugated iron building in Portsmouth Dockyard, as seen from an adjoining building looking down from above roof level. The building was destroyed by fire and only the badly charred timber framework is still standing. Sheets of corrugated iron are lying amongst the debris. There is a No Smoking sign fixed to the side of the building. A single storey brick built building with a concrete roof is in the left background. More brick built buildings with pitched roofs are in the right background and on one of these buildings is a No Smoking sign.
