Purpose-made brown leather case fitted with retaining tubes for needles and clamp for syringe. Case has popper fastening. 'Tabloid' brand. Part of the medical equipment belonging to Dr Alexander Hepburne Macklin (1889-1967), surgeon on Shackletons last two expeditions.
