Ship's badge HMS Mutine 1942. Depiction of a mythological animal (dragon's head). Official design. On a field white, a dragon's head proper erased. In name tablet 'MUTINE'. Circular shape with gold rope twist border. Naval crown above. Pattern approved in October 1942. On reverse painted in white 'Mutine 4632 22.10.64'. French corvette 'Mutine' 1797 captured by boats commanded by Thomas Masterman Hardy (1769-1839). The badge is from his arms.
