Ship's bell inscribed: 'HMS DONEGAL 101 GUNS 1858-1923'. Bell with six-arched crown argent with flat top and small rectangular hole. Six rectangular section canons with bases brought in close to argent. One stump of cast-in crown staple remains near a screwed in eye bolt. Cast probably using a solid pattern
