Wine glass
A wine glass with a very long white opaque twist stem (two tapes of ten threads, enclosed by two plain bands.) It has a domed and folded foot with a pontil mark. The glass is wheel-engraved with a bust portrait of a naval officer, facing left, enclosed in a beaded border. It is inscribed above: 'CAPT. JOHN TOWER'. On the other side a port side view of a warship, inscribed: 'H.M.S. IRIS'.
