Lunar table globe

Lunar table globe. Astronomical details on the sphere include only the most important craters which are labelled, and at the back of the Moon there is the label 'MARE MOSCOVIENSE Astronauts Bay'. Unmanned landing sites before 1969 are recorded of the USSR, 'LUNA 2, 9' and '13' with the dates of landing, for instance, 'LUNA 2 13 / 9 1959 USSR First unmanned space crafts to reach the Moon'.

Landing sites of the USA are indicated, for example, 'RANGER 4, 7, 8' and '9' with the dates of landing. This globe lacks the landing site of Apollo 11, the first manned landing on the Moon on 20 July 1969.
