Lunar table globe

Lunar table globe. Astronomical details on the sphere include craters on the sphere, which are mostly labelled and recorded landing sites. In addition to the landing sites of the unmanned spacecrafts, Lunik 2 and Ranger 4, the manned landings in 1969 are recorded as 'APOLLO 117 / 20 / 69 U.S.A. Tranquility Base First manned landing' and 'Apollo 12 11/19/69 U.S.A'.

The historic flight of Apollo II was made by Neil Armstrong, Edwin Aldrin and Michael Collins. The second lunar landing, in Apollo 12, was by Charles Conrad, Richard Gordon and Alan Bean. For full details about the cartography and construction of this globe please refer to the related publication.
