Commemorative label of Captain John Rendell
A commemoraitve silver label that memorializes Captain John Rendell. Inscribed on the label are the words "CAPT. JOHN RENDELL R.N. BORN 1797 DIED 1882 ENTERED NAVY FROM CHRIST'S HOSPITAL 1814 MATE OF THE 'BLOSSOM' COMMISSIONED UNDER CAPT.FREDERICK WILLIAM BEECHEY 1825 TO EXPLORE BERING STRAIT WITH FRANKLIN AND PARRY RETURNED 1828." The label is tarnished in certain places around the edges.
