Captain James Cook (1728-79)

Bronze bust of Captain James Cook, head and full shoulders in uniform, facing forward, with a wig or powdered hair, tied back. Fitted on a round socle on a square base.

This was presented to the Museum on April 1994 by Sir Arthur Weller, one of the NMM Trustees, and is a cast study or version relating the sculptor's full-size statue of Cook (SCU00137).
