Badge and star: Order of Franz Joseph, 2nd class
        
        Awarded to Sir George Morice. Badge: Gold rimmed red enamel cross superimposed upon black enamel and gold double-headed Austrian eagle. Centre medallion on a white enamel background are the initials of the founder "FJ" Between the arms of the cross in the form of a link chain the inscription "VIRIBUS UNITUS" (with combined forces). Reverse: "1849". Suspended from a scarlet neck ribbon. Star: Eight-pointed, silver, on which is superimposed the obverse of the badge.
