Soup can

A relic of Sir John Franklin's last expedition 1845-48. Half a Goldner soup can made of sheet iron, tinned, soldered and painted red. The remains of a label with cooking instructions is attached 'GOLDNER'S PATENT VEGETABLE SOUP. The canister to be put into a saucepan with warm water...about 15 minutes...served up'. The contents have been removed with a hammer and chisel.
