Domed, gilt button.Smooth edge. Within a circular raised border on a stippled background, is a pre-1901 crown above a foul anchor where the rope is tied to the ring at the top, goes under the left-hand side of the stock, over the shank to the right and then under the shank to the left and finishes under the left arm. On the left-hand side of the shank is the letter V, on the right-hand side of the shank is the letter R.
