Farthing
An anti-slavery farthing. On the obverse is depictes an enchained slave kneeling to the right. It has the legend: 'AM I NOT A MAN AND A BROTHER', and the exergue: 'JAMES'. The reverse has the inscription 'THOS. SPENCE, SIR THOS. MORE, THOS. PAINE, 1795'. It also has the legend: 'ADVOCATES FOR THE RIGHTS OF MAN'.
