Mark IX
The sextant has a black crackle-lacquered alloy casing with artificial materials. It houses optical equipment, a clockwork averaging mechanism, electrical equipment, and a rubber eyecup. The sextant is incomplete and in a poor condition. It is contained in a fitted Bakelite case.
The sextant has a scale measuring from 0° to 80° by 1°. The sextant has a vernier measuring to 1 arcminutes.
