Three fragments of mainspring removed from H4
Three fragments of mainspring removed from H4’s spring in 1986 after the outer hooking had broken and the spring had to be re-hooked. The spring itself had been replaced by Gould in 1921 and again in 1972 by staff at the MoD Chronometer Section at Herstmonceux.
