Ring
Plain gold ring set with an oval cornelian intaglio. The intaglio is decorated with portrait depicting Edmond Halley (1656-1742), who discovered the comet of the same name. The comet is depicted on the left of the intaglio in the background. The ring is inscribed on the inside, although the inscription is too worn to decipher.
