Reverse: Within a band, port broadside view of the battleship Re d'Italia sinking by the stern, flags flying. Legend: 'NELLE AQUE DI LISSA STRENUAMENTE PUGNANDO EBBE INVIDIABILE TOMBA . MDCCCLXVI.' (Fighting strenuously he found an enviable grave in the waters of Lissa.)
