Reverse: Mercury (centre), standing on a shell decorated with the imperial arms, the Russian naval ensign unfurled in his left hand, striking with his sword raised at a man (left) astride a sea horse and a triton (right), both raising their clubs. The 'Mercury' fought gallantly against two Turkish ships of the line in the war and beat them off.
