The right ascensions and declinations of the principal fixed stars in both hemisphears to year 1678.
Printed star chart of the Northern Celestial Hemisphere dedicated to Jonas Moore. Engraved by James Clerk. At the foot of the sheet there is a contemporary manuscript note on the lunar nodal cycle, while several new stars, labelled 'nebulosa', are marked on the map itself.
Analysis of the handwriting suggests that the note was possibly added by Isaac Newton during the 1680s. It is also thought that James Clerk accompanied Halley on his voyage to St Helena in 1677-78.
