Reverse: Four British military officers (right), one holding the Royal Standard face four Mandarins (left) their leaders in the centre hold either ends of a scroll. Peace looks down on the two principals as they meet and Victory flies above. In the background (right), a pagoda and (left), a sailing vessel with sails furled. Exergue: 'THE TRIUMPH OF THE BRITISH ARMS 1842.'
