Obverse: Britannia, a spear in her left hand and a shield below, standing on the deck of an antique galley, her right foot resting on a helmet, crowned with a wreath by a winged Victory. Reverse: An oak and laurel wreath. Legend: 'SIR HORATIO NELSON K.B. THE FRENCH FLEET DEFEATED'. Inscription: 'REAR ADMIRAL AND COMMANDING OFFICER ON THE 1ST AUGUST MDCCXCVIII'. Inscribed on edge: 'THE CENTENARY OF THE BATTLE OF TRAFALGAR, 1905'. Fitted with a ring and glazed.
