Drawing Instrument set
Used on Nares' Arctic expedition 1875. Belonged to Lieutenant A A C Parr, HMS "Alert". Silk lined wooden case containing an ivory parallel ruler, a mapping pen with an ivory handle and an ivory scale (in compartment in lid). Brass plate inset in the lid of the box incribed "(broad arrow) 4/POLAR EXP/1875".
