Poole halfpenny copper token. Obverse: Arms of the town. Legend: 'PROSPERITY TO THE TOWN OF POOLE . 1795'. Reverse: Hope, standing, her right supporting a foul anchor, her left arm holding an oval tablet, inscribed: 'JAS. BAYLY, DRAPER, POOLE', a scroll below. Inscription (on edge): 'PROMISE TO PAY ON DEMAND ONE HALFPENNY'.
