Vase
One of a pair of large baluster-shaped vases with wide mouths. It is painted on the front in purple with a figure representing Hope, her left arm resting on an anchor, indicating a small vessel at sea with her right hand. Around the neck of the vase is a pattern of anchors threaded on gilded ropes, an oak garland behind, between borders of undulating blue ribbons. The rim is painted salmon pink. The borders do not extend to the back of the vase. AAA4477-AAA4478 are a pair.
