Pocket telescope
This non-achromatic telescope was made as a personal accessory rather than as an instrument for scientific observation. The body is made of turned lignum vitae and the brass fittings include sliding objective and eyepiece lens covers. The barrel unscrews towards the eyepiece end to allow the telescope to be focused.
