Plate
Soup plate, transfer-printed with a moulded rim. In the centre is a scene of Neptune in his chariot pulled by sea horses. A boy riding a dolphin and a triton swim in the surrounding. An infant Fame with a trumpet and palm frond flies above. The border has four profile heads intended for Vice-Admiral Horatio Nelson (1758-1805), between pairs of classically clothed females and antique trophies of arms.
